Meet Murphy Industries, Inc.
Murphy Industries is a second-generation family-owned and operated business that manufactures premium wire rope and cable assemblies. We began operations in 1974 in a small building in Morral, Ohio, producing cable assemblies for the garage door and truck door industries. In 1991, operations moved into a larger manufacturing facility in Marion, Ohio, and subsequently added a dedicated warehouse facility to hold our extensive inventory.

Our unwavering commitment to quality has earned us a reputation for holding the highest quality standards, which we take great pride in. This reputation for unbeatable quality is so important to us that we stamp every finished cable assembly with a letter “M” to identify that you’re receiving guaranteed Murphy quality. We have produced over 100 million cable assemblies at our family business in Marion, Ohio.

To create premium wire rope and cable assemblies, we start by using quality cables sourced from reputable mills in Korea and Vietnam. By exclusively partnering with suppliers from this select group, we ensure that our cable adheres to the rigorous standards and quality benchmarks set by Murphy Industries that exceed industry standards. Our higher standards guarantee quality, longevity, and consistency.

Extensive Testing
In our internal laboratory, we utilize proof-loading and pull testing equipment. This setup produces comprehensive reports complete with charts and graphs to guarantee that our products meet our stringent quality benchmarks. Setting us apart in the industry, we employ "cycle test" equipment to assess the cable's durability by simulating thousands of usage cycles.

More Than Cable Assemblies
In addition to producing cable assemblies, we distribute a wide range of products in bulk. We supply galvanized, stainless steel, coated cable, and wire rope in bulk and cut-to-length sizes. Additionally, we offer cable fittings, hardware, tools, and personalized packaging solutions. Our packaging solutions include poly bag kits with customized labels and barcoding, as well as kit packaging with cardboard boxes.
